Associated Media Publishing Provides Integrated Content Solution for 2019 Cape Town Cycle Tour
On Sunday 10 March, over 30 000 cyclists took to the streets of Cape Town for the world’s largest timed cycle race – the Cape Town Cycle Tour. Associated Media Publishing (AMP) is proud to announce its involvement as the content production partner, having successfully secured the Cape Town Cycle Tour as a client in 2018.
The content production partnership involved an integrated solution featuring print and digital. The 48-page supplement, which was included in every rider’s race pack, was curated, designed and produced by the AMP team. On the cover, a creative depiction of the race’s heritage as a Cape Town-based event introduced content that included everything that participants and spectators needed to know about this prestigious event.
For the production of the supplement, the AMP team opted to collaborate with an external editor who is an avid cyclist and expert on the sport. All content underwent a rigorous fact-checking process to ensure that the readership was informed, engaged and entertained ahead of the big day.
The print supplement was supported by digital content across AMP’s online properties for COSMOPOLITAN, HOUSE AND LEISURE and Good Housekeeping. From December 2018 to March 2019, AMP’s digital content spoke the language of cyclists, from how to prevent helmet hair, to how to plan a family day around the CTCT. The content was tailored across each channel and targeted towards each brand’s unique readership, distilling the brand essence of CTCT and translating it across the platforms that speak to South African women.
